A WALK THROUGH MY BRAIN
By Brian Moseti
One evening I strolled into my thoughts and got lost
In jungles of desire and want, the glamorous appeal
Where birds chirped with melodious malignancy and animals
stared hungrily
For a fleeting moment I thought it a dream,
A conjecture of my imagination,
Until I realized I was walking in the confines of my brain.
Haunted by creepers that snaked down in the pale grey light.
Branches that twisted and creaked, whispering in malicious
effort,
Conspiring against me.
Shadows that rippled in false light and writhed with
darkness.
Whispers that invited malice on flowery tunes
